I know Ann can go off on a rant and maybe say something that offends, but who doesn’t?  Even though I love her stuff I am still able to recognize something funny when I see it…  I DO NOT agree with the artist but appreciate the talent…

If you haven’t see this skit yet you’ll be thanking me for posting it here.  Let’s pretend the “landlord” is a ruthless capitalist republican and the “evictee” is a middle aged democrat peace activist.  Get it?

Amy at Atypical Musings has a post regarding the gophers yearly prophetic shadow viewing.  All the particulars can be found at her post.

A twist of the story is that his cousin Funxsutawney in Florida was spotted emerging from his burrow and before he could “think” shadow was greeted by the gentleman pictured to your left.  You can imagine how the story unfolded from there…

Because of the popularity of the Survivor shows, several southern TV stations are joining together and are planning to do their own, entitled: ‘SURVIVOR– SOUTHERN STYLE’

The contestants will start in Alabama, travel over to Georgia and on to South Carolina. From there they will head up to North Carolina and over to Tennessee. They will then proceed down to Mississippi and Louisiana finally ending up back in Alabama.

Each will be driving a pink Volvo with New Jersey license plates and large bumper stickers that read: I’m Gay; I’m a Vegetarian; NASCAR Sucks; Go Yankees; Hillary in 2008; and Deer Hunting is Murder!

The first one that makes it back to Montgomery alive, wins.

Funny email I got today…

Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA ) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ).
He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA ) After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA )
he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO ) to see how much he could spend today. WATERBURY, CT - A fourth grade Oakville student has been expelled from a Waterbury school for bringing a toy gnu onto the property. The action falls under the school district’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy, according to administrators. Officials believe the student, who is dyslexic, tried to intentionally break the policy.

One day a fourth-grade teacher asked the children what their mothers did for a living.
All the typical answers came up — teacher, nurse, businesswoman, saleswoman, doctor, lawyer, and so forth. 

However, little Justin was being uncharacteristically quiet, so when the teacher prodded him about his mother, he replied,  “Well my mother’s an exotic dancer in a cabaret and takes off all her clothes in front of men and they put money in her underwear.  Sometimes, if the offer is really good, she will go home with some guy and stay with him all night for money.”

Some levity…

Having worked with the Dutch guys and the Brit’s as well I can honestly say these guys have a lot of fun.  Their comradery is infectious and without all of the “rules” of our American military they tend to make bad situations tolerable.

NOTE:  I am only assuming these are Dutch SF, based on the scene and language ability it would be a fair assessment…
