FISCAL STEROIDS vs. REAL ECONOMIC GROWTH

The maneuvering and posturing in Washington has assumed all of its normal pre-failure patterns.

The fact is, there could be no greater contrast between the approach I outlined in my new book, Real Change, and the traditional insider politics of Washington.

"STRAIGHT TALK" EXPRESS TAKES SCENIC ROUTE TO TRUTH

January 24, 2008 · 1 Comment

Ann Coulterby Ann Coulter

John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most “electable” Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn’t lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.
Of course, I might lie constantly too, if I were seeking the Republican presidential nomination after enthusiastically promoting amnesty for illegal aliens, Social Security credit for illegal aliens, criminal trials for terrorists, stem-cell research on human embryos, crackpot global warming legislation and free speech-crushing campaign-finance laws.
I might lie too, if I had opposed the Bush tax cuts, a marriage amendment to the Constitution, waterboarding terrorists and drilling in Alaska.

January 24, 2008 · 8 Comments

I know this has been around for awhile, but nothing like a good reminder…  TRM

Hil;lary BitchAN ANALYSIS WORTH  READING :

from Dick Morris:

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying that he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary’s background . . .

As I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections;

UN ALLOWS 45,000 DEATHS PER MONTH IN CONGO

January 24, 2008 · 1 Comment

RUSH: From the Associated Press: “Some 45,000 people die every month in Congo as the world’s deadliest humanitarian crisis has failed to improve despite five years of relative peace.  An estimated 5.4 million Congolese died between ‘98 and 2007 because of conflict, most from the rampant disease and food shortages stemming from fighting.  The study found that life is still alarmingly precarious for Congolese despite the end of the war in 2002.  When war ended in Congo, there was same level of dysfunction without the violence.”  Now, who’s running the Congo?  Who’s there to make sure this doesn’t happen?

The Right talks.
By Peter Wehner

The new conventional wisdom is that John McCain’s victory in South Carolina last Saturday is proof that the “conservative establishment” in general, and Rush Limbaugh in particular, are not the political force they once were. In Sunday’s Washington Post, for example, we read this:
