There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country’s government and install a new communist government. In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.
He asked, ‘ Do you know how to catch wild pigs?’ The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. ‘You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how To forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms- just a little at a time.
One should always remember ‘There is no such thing as a free Lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
I just don’t know how some people don’t get this..

This is a very interesting way to catch wild pigs. It is very interesting and creative method to catch the entire pig family – fahter, mom, kids, uncles, uncle’s family, and grand parents of pig family alive and unharmed. Thank you for the story!

I agree with Anne, we grab the free corn at Wal-Mart in the form of cheap chinese-made goods. We fear terrorists and other boogeymen, and eagerly step in line to give half of every tax dollar to the military industry for endless wars that make us less safe and make our enemies hate us more. We allow the government to slowly take away habeas corpus, protection from unlawful search, seizure, and surveillance. The fence is a supreme court that rules in favor of business over individual’s rights every time. Nazi Germany, Stalin’s Russia – it’s all the same.

So now the world loves us and everything is beautiful . . . . we gave up our weapon defense system to prove to the world that we are the good guys, and what did that get us? This parable is out of date. Does anyone seriously believe that Communism is a threat to our country? What specific freedoms is our Congress and our government taking away from us? How about a few specifics.
I can want to mention Social Security and Medicare and ask: are these the programs that the author wants to abolish. How about some specificity.

I am a conservative, and I was pleasantly surprised to see this story on this site. An oppressive, overweening government is a danger, regardless if it governs from the left or from the right. Our Demican and Republicrats have gotten us so far away from the founding fathers’ original ideal…

There was a Chemistry professor of a large college that was waiting to catch his morning bus to campus. Across the street was a “Tea Party”, waving signs and shouting slogans, even a FOX News person working the crowd. The professor then noticed an old man sitting at the other end of the bus stop, he kept getting up and pacing. Finally he sat down slowly shaking his head in his hands, quivering. The professor approached the man and asked him what was the matter. The old man began to tell him, with tears in his eyes, a story of how he had lived in Italy and fled to this country after the Liberal Democracy was replaced by Fascism. Here in America he found work in a Union and eventually became a Union activist, fighting for Child Labor Laws. It was something that hit home since his younger brother had been killed in a factory accident in Italy. He married a teacher who took part in the women’s suffrage movement. Together they were supporters of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the “New Deal”. He suddenly stopped in the midst of his story and asked the professor a strange question.
He asked, “Do you know how to slaughter sheep?” The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The old man said this was no joke. “There are two types that operate within the group of sheep. Black sheep are the ‘apparent’ leaders. Other sheep instinctively follow the Black sheep. There are only a few Black sheep in any herd. Small groups of sheep may graze with a Black sheep and follow it wherever it goes. When all of the flock’s Black sheep are present, one knows that all of the other sheep in the herd are present. This provides an efficiency for the shepherd. All one has to do is count the few Black sheep. If all are present, then all of the sheep are accounted for. Then there is the Judas goat. The stockyards use such a goat to lead the sheep to slaughter. Without the aid of a Judas goat, the sheep would mill around endlessly in the pen and would not enter or traverse the chute to the slaughter house. The Judas goat, mingling with the sheep, is trained to lead them out of the pen and down the chute to the slaughterhouse. And at the last second, the Judas goat is allowed to escape by a side-gate while the sheep go to their appointed end.”
The old man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America… again!! He then continued his previous story. He explained that he and his family were accused of being Socialists or Communist Sympathizers and became the subject of aggressive investigations and questioning before government and private-industry panels, committees and agencies during the age of McCarthyism. He told the professor that the Right wing is using it’s Black sheep to lead the followers to incite McCarthyism. Using propaganda and Machiavellianism, opposing public health services, supporting rights of corporate groups, rather than the individual, tauting Social Darwinism and opposing class conflict and blaming liberals for creating class conflict, then labeling them Socialist for exploiting class conflict. Then they will insert the Judas goat, bringing about Fascism, leading America and it’s freedoms to the slaughter.

Posting these things do nothing. Everyone reads them, they agree, they complain, they go turn on the TV and forget. They go worry about their job, they forget. They go and set their minds on other things, they forget. Do something, or shut up slave. You don’t get it, you don’t see it, you never will. Go play your video game nigger. Go to yoru job in the morning nigger. Go watch some videos and check your email nigger. Go worry about your bills nigger. Do something or be a slave – your choice. The bottom line is that if you choose to be a slave, then stfu and do your work, come home, eat, go to bed, get up and do it all over again. Get your head out of your ass and open your eyes.. you’re a slave and don’t even know it. Oh, you’re not? Can you leave and go visit another coutry for a month like they can? Can you get away with the things in court like they can? Do you get your full salary as a retirement like they do? Do you have full medical insurance like they do? Yep… I can go on. Keep working to feed the system.. then take your money, and feed the system more… oh, and your money that you make in which you are going to feed the system with? Your taxed on it too, it feeds the other system. We’re a bunch of happy slaves? Working to make ends meet. All a bunch of suckers.

Soon Joseph, we’ll be slaves to the government. At least in capitalism I have a chance to choose my own poison and/or work hard enough to get ahead. With Obama’s model we’ll all be “told” what job we’ll have, what government housing we’ll live in and if we’re real GOOD slaves maybe they’ll assign us a car. Of course we’ll need permit papers to travel out of our local area,etc. A free market is ALWAYS better than your communist “utopia” model. If you hate the USA maybe you should move your ass to China or North Korea or Cuba eh? Live in communist bliss especially Cuba where the government allots you an allowance of $10 a month to live on. They’re still not quite yet the total communist utopia which does away with “currency”,etc. OY!!

Well, there’s always the givers and the takers, the takers are assholes and the givers are looked upon as wusses… amusing, you can’t do a little of both? Just because it’s a system doesn’t mean that it’s not a half decent system and the end result is there is equivalent exchange. You just may not see it that way.
