I admire this kids gumption and “get up and go” but he’s wasting his time with a meaningless stunt. He would be better off cleaning himself up, finish school, and then becoming active via some other way than practicing childish dramatics. If any of you should be in the DC area when these poor misguided hippy’s do this, make sure to bring McDonald’s and make a point to savor the fries in front of them.

I respect the kid’s right to protest. Which lives is he trying to save, the one’s fighting the extremists? What about the lives of those being snuffed by those same extremists? Does al-queda care if he goes without a McChicken for 72 hrs? I appreciate anybody who wants to get off their >>> and do something, even if I don’t agree with them. But kid, for the record, that’s not a hunger strike. Gandhi stopped eating and refused to break fast until the results he was pushing for were achieved. Live or die. That’s a hunger strike.

I’ll bet this guy gets plenty of granola girls out of this little stunt…

Some people will try and convince you that Hippies are dead. This is complete nonsense. In fact, I am still a hardcore Hippie. One only needs to look at our society today to see the changes made by the Hippie movement in the sixties and seventies and you will realize that without such thinking our planet would now be a crispy, dead orb.
